SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Top-ranked and undefeated Drury held serve on their home court and downed the Truman women's basketball team 77-56 on Thursday night. The Bulldogs return home to face Southwest Baptist on Senior Day at 1 p.m. in Pershing Arena.

Drury (26-0; 17-0 GLVC) broke an early lead with a 14-4 run and extended the lead out to a game-high 28 points midway through the second quarter.

The Bulldogs (17-7; 13-4 GLVC) outscored the Lady Panthers 22-15 in the third quarter to cut the margin below 20 points.

Katie Jaseckas led Truman with 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting and
Hannah Belanger added 11.
Alex Wiese pulled down eight rebounds. The Bulldogs shot 35% from the field with seven three-pointers.

Truman won the glass 38-36 but was outscored by nine at the free throw line (18-9) and the Lady Panthers turning the 30 Bulldog turnovers into 34 points.

Hailey Diestelkamp led the Lady Panthers with 26 points, 10 rebounds in 35 minutes of action. Drury shot 42% overall, 7-of-19 from three with 12 steals and 18 turnovers.

The Bulldogs will welcome Southwest Baptist to Pershing Arena for the first time since the last Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association game played in Kirksville in 2013. The Bearcats were a 60-48 winners at home on Thursday over Quincy. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
