KIRKSVILLE, Mo.—The Truman Baseball team travels to St. Charles to take on new GLVC foe Lindenwood in a non-conference series. Over the weekend they took on Upper Iowa and Pittsburg State in Pittsburg, Kan. taking one from UIU.
In the four games over the weekend, Holden Missey reached on nine of 17 plate appearances. He got five hits, including two homeruns, two singles and a double. He also drew two walks, reached on a fielder's choice and reached on a hit by pitch. For the year Missey has four homeruns, which is the most in the conference and more than nine of the teams in the GLVC. His 1.089 OPS is tops on the team.
Steven Bradbury tied his career high with three hits against Upper Iowa, including a triple and a homerun. His three run homer in the third inning got Truman on the board, and tied his career high with three RBIs set against McKendree last year. His four doubles are tied for the second best in the conference with multiple players, including teammate Brendan Kelly.
Truman leads the conference with 22 doubles, and is sixth in runs scored in the GLVC with 51; and fourth in hits with 75.
The Opponent:
Lindenwood has started the year hot with an 8-1 overall record, and will enter the series with seven straight wins. They are coming off back to back sweeps of Ohio Dominican and Northwood. They took two of three in the season opening series at Florida Tech. The Lions were picked eighth in the conference as a new member of the GLVC this season.
So far this season Calvin Nowak is leading the team with a .444 batting average (among qualified players), and has recorded a hit in each of his last five games. Kolby Schulte leads the GLVC with 15 RBIs in nine games. He is tied for the team lead with 12 hits and is tied for second on the team with runs scored. In the three games against Northwood Schulte tallied nine of his 15 RBIs, collecting seven hits in the three games. His .343 batting average is fourth on the Lions (among qualified players).
As a team, the Lions have an ERA of 1.64, which is the lowest mark in the GLVC.

After the series with the Lions, the Bulldogs will make their home debut on March 7 at noon in their conference opener against Indianapolis. Friday they take on the Greyhounds in a double header, then close out their series on Sunday at noon.
