Kirksville, Mo. — Truman State has announced that five players earned CSC Academic All-District honors for the 2026 season: pitchers Isaac Epp, Hayden Holman, and Nick Phillips, along with infielders Evan Davis and Oliver Degenhardt. The award recognizes student-athletes who have distinguished themselves both in the classroom and on the field.
Epp, a senior right-hander from the Bulldogs' rotation, capped his career with a 2-4 record and a 4.83 ERA across twelve starts, striking out 51 batters over 59.2 innings. The workhorse of the Truman staff in his final season, Epp also earned the program's JD DeRouse Award, given annually to the senior who best exemplifies loyalty, dedication, and enthusiasm for Bulldog Baseball.
Holman appeared in 17 games out of the bullpen and led the team with three saves, posting 27 strikeouts over 24.1 innings of relief work. Phillips made twelve starts and led the staff in both innings pitched and strikeouts, logging 62.2 frames with 52 strikeouts on the season.
On the offensive side, Davis put together one of the more consistent seasons in the Truman lineup, hitting .345 with three home runs and 32 RBI. His .407 on-base percentage ranked among the best on the team, and he was a key run producer throughout the year.
Degenhardt was one of the most dynamic players on the roster, finishing the season with a .326 batting average, 56 hits, 24 RBI, and finished second in stolen bases for the Bulldogs, swiping 26 bases on 29 attempts. His combination of contact hitting and speed on the bases made him one of the more difficult outs in the GLVC.
