Thomas Named to D2CCA All-Midwest Region Team

KIRKSVILLE, Mo.—The awards continue to roll in on a historic season for Truman senior guard Brodric Thomas, who was named GLVC Player of the Year as well as being named first team all-conference and first team all-defensive team. He was named First Team All Midwest Region by the D2CCA.

Thomas set a new program record with 666 points this season, with an average of 21.5 per game (sixth in a single season in program history). He finishes his career with exactly 1,500 points, fifth in program history. With 84 blocked shots he finishes fourth in program history. He cracked the top ten in steals with 128, passing Gary Bussard for tenth on the list.

Joining Thomas on the First Team All-Region are Jimmy King from GLVC rival Indianapolis, Jake Van Tubbergen from Grand Valley State, Gabe Kynard from Lake Erie and Regional Player of the Year Kyle Monroe from Michigan Tech.

Two other players from GLVC opponents made second team All-Region: Alex Cook from Bellarmine and Yaakema Rose from Missouri-St. Louis. They are joined by Walt Kelser from Ferris State, Hasan Varence from Ohio Dominican and Myles Belyeu from Saginaw Valley State.
