KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The Truman women reeled off their fourth straight win and Ellie Weltha obliterated her season high with 26 points in the Bulldogs 75-63 victory and the season sweep over the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Tuesday.

It was a match-up of the top two teams in the GLVC Central Division and both teams came in having won their last three.

After an 11-11 tie in the first quarter, a 10-0 spurt by the Bulldogs in the second gave Truman a 23-13 lead that they would not relinquish.

The lead expanded out to 16 points in the third before the Tritons started inching back into it.  Danielle Berry's basket at the 6:11 mark of the fourth quarter cut the lead down to eight at 61-53.

Hannah Belanger gathered in an offensive rebound and spotted Weltha for the lay in and harm to push the lead back to 11 and then Weltha dialed three to knock the wind out of the UMSL sails. The Bulldogs would score 12 of the next 17 points and put the game out of reach.

Weltha's previous high was 16 points on two occasions early this season. She was 10-of-12 from the field, hitting both shots from outside, all four free throws and added seven rebounds and two assists. Katie Jaseckas finished with 16 points and five boards and Katey Klucking tallied 11 in a game-high 38 minutes.

The Bulldogs continued their torrid shooting with 58% (29-of-50) for the game with six threes and 11-of-14 from the free throw line. Truman had 19 assists on their 29 made baskets with Tiffany Davenport and Belanger tossing six dimes apiece.
