ST LOUIS--After picking up their season opening win Friday against Missouri S&T, the Truman Men's Soccer team hit the road to Maryville for a match with the Saints. It was a defensive struggle throughout but the Saints managed the game's only goal to drop the Bulldogs to 1-1 on the season.

Sam Newton, who scored the game's only goal Friday, managed the one shot on goal for the Bulldogs today. Jack Austin also picked up a shot. Joey Keane made four saves on the five shots that he faced, but was beaten by Mirza Hasecic in the 47th minute from a free kick roughly 20 yards out. Keane had stopped Hasecic in the 41st minute on a low shot to the bottom left of the goal. A team save for the Bulldogs in the 53rd minute kept the score at 1-0, and later Newton put his shot on net but it would not go for the freshman out of St. Charles.

Truman will be back in action this week as they take on Lindenwood and Missouri-St. Louis Friday and Sunday; respectively.
