Like Thursday, Truman raced out to a 7-0 lead and were up 15-8 just four minutes into the contest. Katie Jaseckas had nine early points for Truman.

However, Lewis turned up the pressure and grabbed their first lead at 27-26 midway through the second. They led by three at the break 37-34 after forcing 15 Truman turnovers in the first 20 minutes of action.

The Bulldogs had six more turnovers in the third quarter and trailed 63-58 before Weltha went to work to start the fourth.

Her six points gave Truman the lead back at 64-63.

Stephanie Hart's basket with 4:26 to go put Lewis up 74-70 but that would be their last points of the game.

Katey Klucking tied the game at 74 with 2:33 to play then a technical foul called on a Lewis player fighting for a rebound with Weltha resulted with Hannah Belanger breaking the tie with 1:28 to go.

Truman couldn't convert on the ensuing possession but following a Lewis miss, Belanger drove the lane late in the shot clock to give Truman a four-point lead with 30 ticks showing.

Klucking they provided a steal and converted on both her free throws to finish with 18 points.

Belanger finished with 22 as all five starters scored in double-figures. In addition to Klucking's 18, Weltha scored 14, Jaseckas 11 and Tiffany Davenport finished with 10 and nine assists.
