LEBANON, Ill. - Riley Ross scored the game winning goal for the McKendree Bearcats just three and a half minutes into overtime to down the Truman Women's Soccer team 1-0 on Friday evening.
The teams played a scoreless 90 minutes with McKendree holding the advantage in shots and shots on goal.
The winner came on a deep ball from the defensive side of the field that made it inside the 18-yard box. Alynnah O'Leary blocked the clearing attempt by Camryn Sprague fed it right over to Ross right by the six-yard box. She sent high on Beth Hopwood and found the back of the net with her shot.
Truman moves to 2-3 on the season while McKendree improves to 4-1
