EVANSVILLE, Ind. - A late PK goal lifted Southern Indiana over the Truman Women's Soccer team on Sunday afternoon 1-0. The Bulldogs will return home for two matches next weekend beginning on Friday with the University of Indianapolis and Sunday against Lewis.
Maggie Winter scored the lone goal with just over six minutes left to play in regulation after being award a penalty.
USI had an edge on shots with 16, nine on goal compared to Truman's 12, six on net and had nine corner kicks to the Bulldogs none.
Truman put the early second half pressure on with shots from Hanna Hickey and three by Kristen Weber that were all stopped by USI's keeper Maya Etienne. Faith Branson and Cassidy Gann had the other shots on goal for Truman.
