KIRKSVILLE - Faith Branson scored both Truman goals in a 2-1 victory over Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday afternoon.
Branson's first came 20 minutes into the contest after Hanna Hickey broke her free with a long pass and beat keeper Brynne Qualley for the 1-0 lead.
Just 1:26 into the second half, Branson hit pay dirt again as Hickey and Camyrn Sprauge busted a ball loose from a scrum and Branson buried into the net for the 2-0 advantage.
The Tritons made things interesting when Ayana Weissenfluh knocked in a long range shot from 25 yards out that slipped into the top corner of the net with just over seven minutes to play.
The Bulldogs would keep any other threats away from Beth Hopwood to secure the victory.
Truman held the advantage in shots 19-6, with Branson firing seven shots.
The Bulldogs will be on the road next weekend at McKendree next Friday night and at Southern Indiana next Sunday.
