KIRKSVILLE, Mo. –
Cody Schrader rushed for 142 yards and two scores while the Truman special teams blocked three kicks in a 34-15 victory over William Jewell to improve to 2-0 on the spring season. The Bulldogs will travel to Missouri S&T for a de facto playoff game with the winner heading to the GLVC title game the following week.

The first block led directly to the first score.
Tanner Lain got in and blocked the punt attempt and
Matt Hall scooped and scored to put Truman up 7-0 at the 7:49 mark of the first quarter.

Jaylen Jefferson then scampered 58-yards for the first of two touchdowns and the Bulldogs led 13-0.

The Cardinals got a safety to make it 13-2 but
Nolan Hair found
Jake Ellis for an 11-yard TD pass and Schrader scored from two yards out to send the Bulldogs into the halftime break up 26-2.

Schrader turned in his longest run of the night of 66 yards early in the third quarter for Truman's final touchdown. He would finish with his second 100-yard rushing game of the spring with his 142 yards on 23 attempts. The Bulldogs eclipsed the 300-yard rushing plateau with 302 yards on 52 attempts.

Hair was efficient with 11 completions on 16 attempts for 126 yards. Hall caught three passes for 54 and Ellis caught three for 37.

Jewell's Anthony Pritzel threw 48 passes, completing 22 for 302 yards and one touchdown. He was sacked three times.

Truman and Missouri S&T will head into their week three game sporting 2-0 records and the winner on Thursday night will move on to the GLVC Championship game the following week against the winner of the McKendree/Indianapolis game.
