RECAP: Greyhounds Overpower Bulldogs To Take Doubleheader

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The seventh-ranked Indianapolis Greyhounds flexed their muscles and blasted 10 home runs on the afternoon to sweep a pair from the Truman Softball team on Monday afternoon.
 
The Greyhounds scored all 14 runs via the long ball in a 14-0 win in the opener and hit two more while pounding out 12 hits in a 16-0 win in the nightcap. It was the 19th and 20th straight wins for the Greyhounds as they improved to 27-2 overall and 16-0 in the GLVC. It was also their fourth and fifth straight games without allowing an opponent to score.
 
Macy Taylor had an infield hit and Cameryn Patterson reached by walk in the first game. In game two, Emma Walbert collected a pair of hits with Taylor and Lauren Stade each picking up singles.
 
The Bulldogs had a chance to strike first in game two with Walbert leading off with a single and Callie Unrein drawing a walk but Kenzee Smith retired the next three Truman hitters.
 
Truman will be on the road next weekend as they visit Illinois Springfield and Quincy University.
