ST. LOUIS - Faith Branson's long range shot snuck in just below the cross bar in the eight minute and the Truman Women's Soccer team registered their third straight clean sheet in a 1-0 win over the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Friday evening.
Branson took a pass from Chance Douglass and shielded her defender away from the ball, turned left and blasted the shot from 25 yards out. It just got under the bar and was her fifth goal of the season.
The Bulldog defense allowed only two shots on net over the course of 90 minutes with Beth Hopwood securing both saves for the shutout.
Truman has allowed just one goal in their last five matches with the only score against coming in an overtime loss to Drury back on September 12th.
The team will return to action on Sunday in St. Charles against Lindenwood. Kickoff is slated for noon.
