Bulldogs Run Unbeaten Streak To Four

ST. CHARLES, Mo.  - The Truman Women's Soccer team ran their unbeaten streak to four games and have not allowed a goal in each as they played to a scoreless tie with Lindenwood University on Sunday afternoon on the road.

The Bulldogs are 3-2-2 overall and 2-1-2 in the GLVC and have only allowed one goal in their last six matches and four total for the season.

Truman outshot the Lions (3-3-1/3-1-1) 13-6 and had a 5-4 edge on shot on goal. Both teams had great scoring chances in the extra time with Chance Douglass finding the crossbar and Kaleigh Kastberg put a free kick on net that Beth Hopwood was able to push aside.

Hopwood now has 4.5 shutouts this season and has 24.5 for her career. She is 1.5 back of fifth place on Truman's career shutout list. A spot held by Emily Bozdeck (2009-13).

The Bulldogs will return home for a pair of matches next weekend. They will host the University of Southern Indiana and McKendree at 2:30 on Friday and Sunday respectively.
