KIRKSVILLE, Mo.—The Truman Men's Soccer team played its second game of the young 2021 season Wednesday, hosting Central Methodist. The Eagles were 22-2 a season ago and raced past the Bulldogs 3-0.
The Bulldogs got the first shot on goal of the game in the 11
th minute as
Aidan Morgan attempted his first career shot, but it was collected by Stefano Camerlengo. From there, CMU would attempt the rest of the shots on net.
CMU got on the board first in the 34
th minute on a penalty shot by Alessando Salvadego. His first attempt was waived off because he was too close to begin his shot, but he made the second one past the glove of
Evan Witte for CMU's first goal.
In the second half, CMU got two more as Theo Klein scored in the 54
th minute, with an assist from Isaac Johnson. In 74
th minute Marcos German scored, off a long pass from Tom Irion.
Morgan had two of the team's eight shots and Witte made four saves.
Truman will be back in action at Bulldog Soccer Park on Sunday as they open their GLVC Schedule against Drury at noon.
