LEBANON, Ill. - Career highs from Katey Klucking and Claire Rake lifted the Truman Women's Basketball team to their fifth straight win as they downed the McKendree University Bearcats 79-55 on the road Saturday.

Klucking scored 28 points on 11-of-18 shooting and added six assists and two blocks while playing a game-high 37 minutes on the court. Her previous high came with 22 points on two occasions with the last coming against Southern Indiana last January. 

Rake rained in six of the Bulldogs nine three-pointers on the afternoon. She finished with 21 points, 10 better than her previous high of 11 and was 6-of-14 from beyond the arc. 

Ellie Weltha notched her third straight double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds. Truman (8-5; 4-1 GLVC) dominated the glass again with a 50-33 margin over the Bearcats.

It was a strong second half that allowed the Bulldogs to push away from McKendree. Truman led by only five at the break 26-21 but three, three-pointers in a span of nearly a minute by the Bulldogs, two by Rake and one by Klucking pushed the lead out to 20 points in the third quarter. 

Hannah Belanger made her only hoop of the game to start the fourth quarter and scored only three points but had eight rebounds and dished out five assists. 

Erin Golden led McKendree (1-10; 0-4 GLVC) with 14 points.

Truman will take to the floor in Rolla, Missouri next Thursday against Missouri University of Science and Technology at 5:30 p.m.
