Truman Conquered In Day One Of Midwest Region Crossover

HAMMOND, Ind. - The Truman volleyball team was defeated by Malone University 3-1 in the first day of the Midwest Region Crossover.

The Pioneers took set one 25-22 before the Bulldogs evened the match with a 25-19 set two win. Malone won sets three and four narrowly 25-20 and 25-21.

Jessica Proszenyak, Hanna Berry, and Allison Beaton each had double-digit kills. Proszenyak had 15, Berry recorded 11, and Beaton totaled 10.

Emma Baierl dished out 45 total assists to add to a phenomenal season. Baierl also led Truman in digs with 18.

The Bulldogs play two more in the Crossover on Saturday, October 15, at 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. against Lake Erie College and Ursuline College.
