Truman's 2022 Season Ends Against Lewis In GLVC Tournament

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The 2022 season came to an end for Truman Men's soccer against Lewis 1-0 in the GLVC Championship Tournament quarterfinals.

Lewis scored quickly off a Crisitan Perez strike in the 6th minute. This would be the only goal of the match.

Truman managed to shoot six shots, with only one being on goal. The lone shot on goal was from Luke Payne in the 88th minute, it was to the bottom right side of the goal but was saved by Lewis goalkeeper Sebastian Doppelhofer.

Truman goalie Justin Olwig saved all six of Lewis' shots except Perez's goal early in the game.

The Bulldogs finish the season with a 5-6-6 record (4-4-4 in conference), and made it to the GLVC Championship Tournament for the first time in program history.

Mac Knudsen led Truman in goals with five, followed by Luke Payne with four, then Jack Knust and Andy Brennan with three apiece.

Payne, Knust, and Sam Newton led the Bulldogs in assists with three each.

Justin Olwig recorded a .758 save percentage, saving 75 shots and allowing 24 goals during the season.
