CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Truman State Men's basketball won their first game of the 2022-23 season against University of Findlay 85-74 in the Bulldogs' second game of the GLVC/G-MAC Challenge.
The game was tied 6-6 early in the first half, before Truman took a 26-16 lead. The Oilers stormed back, cutting the Bulldog lead to two with a score of 28-26. Truman closed out the first half with a 38-30 lead.
The Bulldogs took a game-high 16-point over the Oilers at the 9:58 mark in the second half.
Elijah Hazekamp led the Bulldogs in points with 23 on 5-10 shooting and 10-10 on free throws. He also grabbed a team-high 14 rebounds and recorded five assists.
Trey Shearer was second in scoring with 20, going 7-12 from the field and making six three pointers.
Truman hosts Upper Iowa on Wednesday, November 16, at 7 p.m.
