KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The Truman State Track & Field teams returned to action on Thursday hosting the Truman Twilight Meet at Stokes Stadium/Kenneth Gardner Track. Grace Feeney and Jacob Morris each claimed three individual event titles during the meet.
Feeney was part of four event wins, three as an individual and placed fourth in a fifth event, the shot put. Feeney took top honors in the high jump, clearing 1.50 meter, long jump with a mark of 5.08 meters, and the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.99. Her 4x400 relay team with Sophie Oxandale, Alayna Pipkin and Audrey Gilmore won the event in a tune-up for their Drake Relays run tomorrow afternoon.
Brianna Barton took two gold medals as she swept the 100 and 200 meter dashes. She ran 13.26 in the 100 and 27.03 in the 200. Other winners on the women's side included Oxandale in the 400 meter dash, Cora Stimpson (1500m run), Kirsten Poole with a PR time in the 400 meter hurdles, Addie Mathis with a PR in the 800, Lea Moose with a PR in the javelin and Addison Walker in the triple jump.
Morris won all three throwing events he competed in during the meet. He was the victory with a personal best mark in the discus at 51.87, took the hammer in 55.09 and the shot put in 14.99. Kelly Hoskins won both of his events winning the pole vault (3.81m) and the triple jump (12.72m).
Grant Lair was the victor in the 800-meter run with a PR time of 1:56.28. Other PRs on the men's side included Joe Armour (1500m run), Trevor Carey (400m dash), Brett Griesbaum (400m dash) and Nathan Bufka (hammer).
The next team action for the Bulldogs will be next week at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar.
