Truman Women Play To Draw

KIRKSVILLE, MO. - The Truman Women's Soccer team played to a scoreless draw in their season opener against Saginaw Valley State (Mich.) on Friday afternoon at Stokes Stadium.

The Cardinals had an 11-5 shot advantage with five on goal, all saved by Truman keeper Tatumn Damron while Hanna Ritter was credited with the Bulldogs lone shot on net that was saved by Kennedi Pugh.

The game opened up in the last six minutes as Jessica Kozal of the Bulldogs had a shot attempt knock off the top of the cross bar while immediately afterwards, Stephanie Strong broke free and had Damron beat but missed the net on the left side.

Truman will continue their five match homestead to start the season on Sunday hosting Davenport (Mich.) at noon.
