Bulldogs Fall Short Against Missouri S&T

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Truman Bulldogs volleyball lost to Missouri S&T on Saturday in three sets. The Miners won 25-21, 25-16, and 25-9.

The first set was back and forth, with the Bulldogs going punch for punch, but S&T eventually pulled away to win by four. 

The second and third sets were far less favorable for the Bulldogs, losing by nine in the second and 16 in the third.

Allison Beaton led Truman in kills with eight, followed by Ainsley Heise with seven and Jessica Proszenyak with six. Proszenyak tallied the Bulldogs lone ace and Emma Baierl had a team-high 16 assists.

Truman volleyball plays next at University of Missouri-St. Louis Friday, September 23 at 6:00 p.m.
