Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Jordan Hall

Women Shutout Upper Iowa 1-0 On Friday

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Rachel Homoki's late first half goal stood up behind a stifling Truman Women's Soccer defense in a 1-0 victory over Upper Iowa on Friday. The Bulldogs have undefeated in their first three games this year and will host Quincy (Ill.) in a non-conference match on Sunday at Stokes Stadium (noon).

The goal occurred under three minutes left in the half was a long ball was played down the right sideline and chased down by Ashlynn Bardo before the end touch line. Bardo centered it to Homoki, who when short side and found the net for her first Truman goal of her career.

The Bulldog defense was in mid-season form as they limited the Peacocks to only five total shots with two reaching keeper Tatumn Damron in goal. The team has not allowed a goal in their first three matches this season.
