KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Truman and University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL) drew 1-1 on Sunday after goals by each team late in the game.
Freshman Nathan Grewe gave Truman the lead at 70:10 with a 17-yard strike that evaded the UMSL keeper's outstretched arms. Adam Shine assisted the goal.
UMSL's Tommy Naumann evened the score with a penalty kick goal 78:49 into the game.
It was an even match statistically, with each team nearly the same in shots, shots on goal, fouls, and saves.
Truman soccer plays again at McKendree University Friday, September 30, at 7:30 p.m.
