SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Truman State Men's basketball had a huge second half to defeat Drury 79-63.
Drury held a 34-27 lead at halftime, with the Panthers shooting 11-23 from the field. Truman shot 9-30 with six 3-pointers.
The Bulldogs had an incredible second half performance, shooting 16-27 from the field and outscoring Drury 52-29 in the half. Truman went on an 18-11 run to tie the game at 51-51. Following the 18-11 run, the Bulldogs scored 31 more points and held Drury to only 12.
Elijah Hazekamp scored a season-high 27 points on 9-16 shooting from the field, and 5-9 from three. He grabbed nine rebounds and had four steals.
Dylan Peeters had an efficient performance, scoring 15 points on 4-6 shooting. He went 7-7 from the free throw line. The Bulldogs as a team went 19-20 on free throws.
Hunter Strait scored 13 points, and CE Talton scored nine on 3-5 shooting.
Truman State is now 9-10 on the season, and 4-7 in the GLVC. The Bulldogs are on a three-game win streak.
Truman hosts Maryville next on Thursday, January 26th, at 7:30 p.m.
