HAMMOND, Ind. - Truman State volleyball took two more wins to sweep the Midwest Region Crossover with a 3-1 victory over Lake Erie College and a 3-0 win over Ursuline.
Game One:Â
Truman State won the first set 25-21, the third set 25-17, and the fourth set 25-14.Â
Lake Erie won set two 27-25 in extras. The Storm led 22-18 before the Bulldogs tied it up at 24. Lake Erie scored three of the next four points to take set two.
Allison Beaton, Hanna Berry, and Jessica Proszenyak all had double-digit kills. Beaton led with 15 and Berry had 14. Beaton hit .583, Berry hit .313, and Proszenyak hit .370.
Emma Baierl had 23 assists and Tori Creason was not far behind with 21. Lexi Arnel had six of her own along with 15 digs.
Jessica Proszenyak had four aces and Tayler Schafer had three.
Game Two:
The Bulldogs took the second match of the day against Ursuline in the three sets.
Truman won 25-18, 25-13, and 25-14 to improve to 12-8 on the season and 8-4 in non-conference play. The Bulldogs outscored the Arrows 58-29 in the contest.
Hanna Berry had 13 kills for 14 total points, and Allison Beaton had nine kills. Berry hit .542 and Beaton hit .389.
Jessica Proszenyak had five service aces, and three other Bulldogs each had two.
Emma Baierl, Tori Creason, and Lexi Arnel led the team in assists.
Arnel had 12 digs and Proszenyak was second with nine.
The Bulldogs return to conference play on Friday, October 20th, at 6 p.m. against Rockhurst in Kansas City.
