KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The Lewis Flyers scored twice to overcome a 1-0 deficit and down the Truman Women's Soccer team 2-1 on Friday afternoon. The Bulldogs will wrap up their home slate of games with Indianapolis on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
The Bulldogs struck first with Emma Thompson scoring her third goal of the season following a pass from Olivia Morris in the 16th minute of play.
Lewis tied the game in the 25th minute on an unassisted tally by Elisa Aguilar off a Bulldog clearing attempt.
Early in the second half, Breanna Culver was able to sneak one inside the post for the 2-1 lead in the 52nd minute.
Truman tried to press late and and a few chances but couldn't find the equalizer.
