KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The Indianapolis Greyhounds halted the Truman State men's soccer team five-match unbeaten streak with a 5-0 victory over the Bulldogs on Sunday at Stokes Stadium.
The Greyhounds put their first two goals in within three minutes of one another to take control of the match. Roman Beko fired a long range shot off a pass from Pierre Lurot in the 19th minute to open the scoring and Jona Hogle scored in the 22nd minute off a deflection to make it 2-0.
The Greyhounds got three goals in the second half to pick up the three points for a GLVC victory.
The Bulldogs will look to secure their GLVC tournament spot in the final weekend of the regular season next Friday or Sunday. Truman goes to Maryville first followed by the regular season finale at Missouri S&T next Sunday.
