KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Truman State volleyball dropped a match to McKendree 3-0 on Thursday night.
The Bearcats jumped out and took a lead in the first set with a score of 25-16.
McKendree won set two 25-19 before a third set that was back and forth. Truman went up 8-4 then 11-6 before the Bearcats made their way back into it. McKendree ended up tying it up 21-21. Truman had had set point attempts, but they were unsuccessful. The Bearcats won the third and final set 29-27.
Jessica Proszenyak led the Bulldogs in kills with 12. Allison Beaton and Elise Gibson both had eight kills. Three other Truman players recorded kills.
Emma Baierl had a team-high 31 assists, and Molly McGurn led in digs. Lexi Arnel had 10 digs as well.
Truman State plays No. 3 and 22-0 Missouri - St. Louis on Saturday at 3 p.m.
