KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Truman State softball played a doubleheader against GLVC opponent Missouri-St. Louis, losing 10-5 and 10-2.
Game One:
The Bulldogs started the first game strong, going up 3-0 off an Alex Beard RBI single and a Brianna Klein RBI double with Emily Eberwine scoring on an error.
UMSL struck back in the second and fifth innings, scoring five unanswered.
Eberwine scored on an UMSL overthrow after Madi McCarty stole second to tie it 5-5.Â
The Tritons scored five in the sixth to make it 10-5.
Cameryn Patterson, Brieanna Klein, and Macy Taylor each had two hits in the game, with Klein driving in two runs.
Game Two:
UMSL started off strong in game two, going up 2-0 in the second inning.
The Bulldogs tied it up in the third with two singles from Cameryn Patterson and Brieanna Klein.
The Tritons scored eight in a row to make it 10-2 at the end.
Klein added another two hits with an RBI.
Patterson, Alex Beard, Maria McGonegle, and Macy Taylor each got a hit.
Truman is back in action at home against Lincoln University Tuesday, March 28th, at 1 and 3 p.m.
