PELLA, Iowa - In the final non-conference dual of the season, the Bulldog Tennis team defeated Central (Iowa) College 8-1 in Pella on Wednesday afternoon. Truman will close out the regular season with matches at home on Friday and Saturday against William Jewell and Rockhurst.

The meet was tightly contested up and down the card with Samantha Seggerman and Julia Fangman winning 8-5 at number one doubles, Akansha Negi and Abbi Worster 8-5 at number two and Sydney Dial and Kennidy Shirey 8-7 for a 3-0 lead.

Negi took number one singles 6-2, 6-3, Seggerman needed a super-tiebreaker to win number two 6-0, 7-6 (11-9), Fangman won in straight sets at number three 6-2, 6-3, Shirey won number four in a marathon 7-6, 5-7 16-14 and Dial took number five 6-2, 6-2.
