QUINCY, Ill. - The Quincy tennis team defeated the Truman Bulldogs 6-1 in a Great Lakes Valley Conference dual on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs will be at Central (Iowa) on Wednesday before wrapping up the season next weekend at home against Rockhurst and William Jewell.
The Hawks grabbed the team doubles point with 6-2, 6-1 and 6-2 scores in the three matches.
In singles, Sydney Dial fought into a first set tiebreaker with Anna Matino before dropping the set 7-6 (6-0) and the second set 6-5.Â
Abbi Worster won in consecutive days with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Paula Martinez 6-3, 6-2.
