KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Truman State and Winona (Minn.) State played to a scoreless tie on Sunday afternoon at Stokes Stadium. The Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday with a non-league matchup with Graceland (Iowa) at 2 p.m. at home.
Total shots were in favor of the Warriors 13-5 but each team placed five on target.
Gianna Gorman had an early chance for the Bulldogs when she put a free kick on net but was caught by Winona keeper Alyson Jumper. Gorman had two of the five shots on goal for Truman.
Tatum Damron picks up her first shutout of the season and fifth career overall. She stopped all five Warrior shots on goal and punched away a few crosses from corner kicks.
