MARSHALL, Mo. - The Truman State Women's Tennis team dropped their dual season opener on Tuesday to Missouri Valley College by a score of 5-2.

The Vikings won the doubles point by picking up wins at the numbers two and three spots with Truman's Allie Brown and Sydney Dial cruising to a 6-0 victory at the number one spot.

In singles play, it was Dial that outlasted Renata Martinez by a 7-5, 6-4 score to win number three singles and in the only match to go into a super tiebreaker, Abbi Worster rallied to win the number four singles 1-6, 6-3 10-8.

The Bulldogs return to the courts on Saturday against Simpson (Iowa) College in Indianola.
