Volleyball Ends Arkansas Trip With Two More Wins

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Bulldogs volleyball defeated Union and Henderson State in their last day in Arkansas at the Reddie-Tiger Invitational.

Game One: Truman took the first game against Union 3-1, winning the first, second, and fourth sets. The Bulldogs won their sets 25-21, 25-20, and 26-24. They dropped their lone set 25-15.

Jessica Proszenyak led both teams in kills with 20, hitting .357 along with an assist and an ace. Proszenyak had 21 total points and four digs.

Hanna Berry, Jessie Julius, Allison Beaton, Dani Kurth, Tori Creason, and Elise Gibson all recorded kills.

Emma Baierl had 25 assists and Tori Creason had 14. Lexi Arnel was third in assists with five, and also had 27 digs.

Game Two: The Bulldogs defeated Henderson State in four sets, losing the first 25-23, then winning three-straight for their seventh win of the season. Two of Truman's set wins came in extra points, winning those 29-27 and 28-26.

Allison Beaton, Hanna Berry, and Jessica Proszenyak led Truman in kills. Beaton had 15, Berry had 13, and Proszenyak had 12.

Emma Baierl led Truman in assists with 23, followed by 16 from Tori Creason, and 10 from Lexi Arnel.

Arnel recorded 26 digs, with Proszenyak and Creason having 16 and 15.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, September 23rd against new GLVC member Upper Iowa in Kirksville, Mo. at Pershing Arena.
