KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Truman State Women's soccer played new GLVC opponent Upper Iowa to a 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon.
Both teams scored their lone goals early in the first-half, with Upper Iowa opening it up 12 minutes in with a Rachyl Benavides goal. Truman's Olivia Morris evened the score on an assist from Emma Thompson.
Upper Iowa had six total shots in the first-half, and the Bulldogs had seven with three on goal.
The Bulldogs had three great scoring chances in the second-half, but all of missed narrowly by hitting the woodwork.
Truman had 19 shots with six on goal, and Upper Iowa had 10 shots with five on goal.
Goalkeeper Tatumn Damron recorded four saves.
Truman returns to the pitch on Friday, September 22nd against conference rival Quincy at home at 2:30 p.m.
