LOUISVILLE - The Truman State Cross Country contingent ran at the "Live at the Lou" cross country festival on Saturday. The Bulldog men placed fifth in their race with 309 points while the women were 18th with 513 points.
Evan Aubuchon ran 26:27.1 and was the first Bulldog to cross the finish line in 24th position in the Men's 8K Silver race that encompassed 48 teams and over 400 runners. Aiden Wahrenbrock was next in 43rd place with a time of 26:47.2, Ryan Harness was 46th at 26:51.3, Gavin Hill finished 86th in 27:24.9 and Trystn Hammer was the last scoring Bulldog in 126th place with a time of 27:50.9.
The rest of the men's runners were Jacob Gutzman (138th/28:01.4), Josh Engle (218th/29:11.0) and Nick Guess (290th/30:42.6).
The women were placed the the 5K Blue race and were paced by Addie Mathis in 46th place and a time of 18:50.6. Lexy Henrikson finished in 19:09.4 and was 65th, Breanna Mathes ran 19:30.7 and placed 108th, Kate Yates crossed in 19:34.1 and was 116th and Ellie Webb brought in the final team points with a time of 20:24.3, good for 209th out of 385 runners.
Five other women competed for the Bulldogs on the E.P. Tom Sawyer Park course. Lydia Lehmbeck was 233rd (20:35.1), Aiden Moriarty finished 259th (20:48.2), Emma Schultz 279th (21:04.00), Kendra Zeilstra 304th (21:20.0) and Andrea Riley 320th (21:31.9).
The Bulldogs head to the Great Lakes Valley Conference championships next on October 21 in Bolivar, Missouri.
