KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Justin Watson, a three-time All-GLVC offensive lineman, has been selected to the second team Academic All-America team by the College Sports Communicators.
 
Watson, a Business Administration major from Eureka, Missouri, has been a first team all-GLVC offensive lineman after an honorable mention selection in 2021. He has been a member of the Academic All-GLVC team while at Truman State and was named to the GLVC's James Gaffney Academic Excellence award last summer with a 4.0 grade point average for the academic year.
 
The College Sports Communicators Academic All-America team is the associations' signature program that has honored thousands of student-athletes since its inception in 1952. Eligible student-athletes must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and a starter or key reserve on their team. They are nominated by their local College Sports Communicator and then a national committee selects the Academic All-America team.
 
Truman State has a rich history of Academic All-American's with 118 selections since 1973, one of the top producing schools in Division II.
