KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Reese Stovall finished runner-up and the Truman State Women's Golf team placed third at the Virginia McCoy Fall Invitational on Tuesday at The National Golf Club in Parkville, Missouri.
Stovall shot rounds of 78 and 76 for a 154 and was five shots out of the medalist spot. Kylie Secrest was second on the team with an 81 and 82 for a 163, good for 13th overall. Ana Gonzalez was one shot back of Secrest after rounds of 83 and 81.Â
Lauren Prys improved by 10 shots on the second day and finished at 174 and in 27th position. Claire Jarrett made her collegiate debut and shot 92 both days to finish in 32nd position. Madalyn Breckenridge competed as an individual and was also consistent on both rounds with scores of 95 and 37th place.
The Bulldogs were able to move past one team on day two for the third place showing. The team had a four-person score of 334 on the first 18 holes and bettered that total to 321 on the second loop around the course.
Truman State will compete in their final fall tournament next week in Maryville, Missouri at the Midwest Classic event hosted at Mozingo Lake Golf Club.Â
