ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Baptist University Spartans defeated the Truman State Women's Tennis team 7-0 in a dual match on Friday afternoon.
 
The Spartans took all three doubles matches to start the dual to earn the first team point. Numbers one and two were 6-1 scores and number three was a 6-2 decision.
 
Allie Brown lost a break point in the first set at number one singles to fall 6-4, 6-1. Sydney Dial pushed Jocelynn Carmody to a 7-5 defeat in her opening set and then lost a break in the second to fall 7-5, 6-4.
 
Abbi Worster and Samantha Seggerman both pushed their opponents to tie breaking sets but eventually lost. Worster went 7-5, 7-6 (7-3) at number four and Seggerman fell 6-2, 7-6 (13-11) in number five.
 
The Bulldogs will be off until March 21^st and a road date with Central (Iowa) College. The team is 6-6 in duals this season.
