COLUMBIA, Mo. – In a make-up from an earlier postponement, the Truman State Tennis team downed Grand View (Iowa) 5-2 on Friday afternoon. The Bulldogs will play Loras (Iowa) on Sunday.
 
Grand View fielded three players during the dual so the Bulldogs were beneficiaries of wins at number two and three doubles to take the first team point and Samantha Seggerman, Alayna Dostal and Cora Wood were all winners by default.
 
In the contested matches, Akansha Negi batted before falling to number one Melanie Ortega with set scores of 6-2 and 6-4. Sydney Dial was a straight set winner over Kanishka Gowthaman, 6-1, 6-1 and Abbi Worster lost in a tie-breaker at number three to Elizaveta Ordinteva 7-6.
 
The lone doubles match went to the Vikings by a 6-1 score.
