OSKALOOSA, Iowa - Making her collegiate debut, Kylie Secrest finished runner-up in at the William Penn Statesmen Invitational on Tuesday after firing rounds of 76 and 74 for a total of 150. The Bulldogs as a team placed third overall.

After making the turn with a 39, Secrest stuck her tee shot on the par-3 10th close to the pin and picked up a birdie. She would also drain a long-range putt on 16 for her second birdie on the card and came in with an even-par 35. She tied for the low-round of the day and finished one shot back of tournament winner Joska Nelis of Indian Hills CC.

Ana Gonzalez backed up from her opening round 75 to shoot 83 on Tuesday. Gonzalez finished just outside the top 10 in 12th position.

Reese Stovall tied with Gonzalez in that 12th position after shooting a 78 on day two, including a birdie on the par-5, 11th hole.

Lauren Prys shot rounds of 86 and 85 to finish 22nd and Madalyn Breckenridge had a nine-shot improvement over day one including two birdies on the second day to finish 34th overall. 

The Bulldogs had one of their lowest team scores in tournament play on Monday with a 317 and followed it up with a 320 on Tuesday.

The team is back in action September 23-24 at the KC Cup, hosted by William Jewell in Smithville, Missouri.
