Springfield, Ill. - Truman State Women's Cross Country placed second to the University of Illinois Sprinfield at its 9th Annual UIS Prairie Stars Invitational. Three Bulldogs finished in the Top Ten, including a second place performance from junior Cora Stimpson with a time of 18:50.4 in the 5K race. Junior Kate Yates claimed fourth with a time of 18:54.6, and freshman Clare Stahr came in ninth at the 19:15.8 mark.
Truman will next see action against Bradley (Ill.) University on Sept. 20th in Peoria, Ill.
