Bulldogs Fall 2–0 on the Road at Quincy

The Truman State women's soccer team came up short in a Great Lakes Valley Conference matchup Friday night, falling 2–0 at Quincy at Jack Mackenzie Field.

The Hawks struck in the 33rd minute when Abbie Martin converted off an assist from Emma Tell to give Quincy a 1–0 lead at the break. The Bulldogs held firm through much of the second half before Ella Wolfard doubled the Hawks' advantage in the 57th minute.

Truman generated more offense after halftime, recording all three of its shots in the final 45 minutes, including chances from Bailey Allen and Abby Hutteger. Despite the push, Quincy goalkeeper Devin Tracy kept the clean sheet as Truman was unable to find the back of the net.

Defensively, senior goalkeeper Siman Loethen played the full 90 minutes and registered two saves while facing 13 total shots. The Bulldogs back line, anchored by Samantha Larkins, Ella McCleary, and Avery Bohnenstiehl, absorbed pressure throughout the contest against Quincy's attack.

Game Notes

  • Truman totaled 3 shots in the second half, including one off the woodwork from Allen in the 72nd minute.

  • Loethen finished with 2 saves while playing all 90 minutes in net.

  • The Bulldogs' record moves to 3-3-2 overall, 3-2-1 GLVC.
