ELSAH, Ill. - The Truman State Tennis Team picked up their eighth dual win of the season with a 7-0 shutout over Principia (Ill.) College on Friday evening.

Moving up to the number one doubles spot for the day, Finley Laforge and Mary Grace Seymore rolled to a 6-1 win to get the ball moving for Truman State. Himari Maruyama and Alayna Dostal secured the doubles point with a 6-0 win at number two.

All five singles matches contested went in straight sets for the Bulldogs. Sydney Dial won 6-2; 6-1 at number one. Nayana Malangi was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at two, Akansha Negi was a 6-3, 6-0 victor at number three. Abbi Worster cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at four and Amelia Willing easily won 6-1, 6-0 at number five.

Truman returns to the courts next Saturday with a road date at Ottawa (Kan.).
