Truman State Cross Country Garners Academic Recognition

NEW ORLEANS – Both Men's & Women's Truman State University Cross Country teams were honored by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for their academic and athletic achievements during the fall semester.  In addition, five Bulldog Women's runners were named All-Academic for their performances.

Both teams, under the direction of head coach Collin Nurenberg, were named All-Academic teams for posting a grade-point average over a 3.0 for the fall semester. The Bulldog men were in the top 20 of all Division II teams with a 3.52 GPA while the women had the seventh best GPA at 3.82.

To earn the individual All-Academic award, the competitor must have a minimum of a 3.25 GPA and finish in the top 30% of their NCAA regional qualification race. Earning that award was Carmen Gentilia, Lexy Henrikson, Addie Mathis, Kati Schoeneberg and Kate Yates.
