Bulldog Softball, 18-19 overall, 6-8 GLVC, returns home for the first time since St. Patrick's Day Saturday versus 18-16 overall, 11-5 GLVC Drury (Mo.) then finish the weekend 15-19, 7-7 GLVC against Southwest Baptist (Mo.).
 
A weekend trip through the Kansas City area saw the 'Dogs go 1-3 combined at Rockhurst (Mo.) March 29 and William Jewell (Mo.) March 30 with their win came in Game 1 against the Cardinals by a 6-0 score. Drury dealt league-leading Lewis (Ill.) only its second defeat of the season in Game 2 of a March 29 doubleheader in Springfield then swept Upper Iowa March 30. The Bearcats split against Quincy (Ill.) March 29 after taking a pair against Stephens College (Mo.) March 26.
 
Drury and UIndy share the third-best conference marks of 11-5 while Southwest Baptist is tied at .500 GLVC with Maryville and Upper Iowa. Truman State and William Jewell share 6-8 marks in league play.

Truman State Baseball, 7-20 overall, 4-8 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), welcomes McKendree (Ill.), 4-22, 2-10 GLVC, for a four-game league series in Kirksville April 4-6.
 
The Bulldogs took three of four against Southwest Baptist (Mo.) in Kirksville March 28-30 finishing the weekend with their longest winning streak since a four-game run against Illinois Springfield and McKendree April 30-May 6, 2023. McKendree went 1-3 against Maryville (Mo.) March 28-29 in Lebanon, Ill., grabbing a 5-4 win in Game 1 March 29.
 
League standings have Lewis (Ill.) in first with records of 19-6 overall, 14-2 GLVC. Truman State occupies 13th place with McKendree in 14th.
