KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – It took six runs in the ninth and tenth innings but Bulldog Baseball gets a 9-8 win over visiting St. Cloud State (Minn.) in the home opener for Truman State.

Dakota Joggerst went 4-5 with a double, RBI, and three runs scored to lead the Bulldogs at the plate. His fourth two bagger of the season got scoring going in the ninth with Truman State down 7-3 while freshman

St. Cloud State took an 8-7 lead scoring a run on an RBI double in the top of the 10th before redshirt freshman outfielder
Ian Thornton was hit by a pitch in the bottom half of the frame and advanced to second on a Joggerst single. Tieman walked to load the bases before back-to-back RBI walks by
Owen Browning and
Luke Roussel scored Thornton and Joggerst, respectively, to settle the affair 9-8 in favor of Truman State.

Truman State's record now stands a 2-11 overall while St. Cloud State falls to 5-7. The two square off in a Sunday tilt at 1 p.m. in Kirksville.
