KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — Truman State University head football coach
Kellen Nesbitt has announced two additions to the Bulldog coaching staff.
Dominic Stoneking has been promoted to Defensive Backs Coach, and Mike Glass III has been hired as Wide Receivers Coach.
"I'm thrilled to welcome Coach Glass and Coach Stoneking to the Truman State football family. Both bring tremendous energy and excellent expertise at their respective positions. Coach Glass will work with our wide receiver group, while Coach Stoneking will lead our defensive secondary. We're truly excited for what they'll contribute as we prepare for the upcoming season," said Nesbitt.
Stoneking is no stranger to the Truman State program, having served as an assistant secondary coach with the Bulldogs since July 2025. His promotion to a full-time role is a natural next step after quickly becoming an integral part of the defensive staff. Before joining Truman State, he spent the spring of 2025 helping coach safeties and cornerbacks at Benedictine College while finishing his degree, working alongside Defensive Coordinator Trevor Strong.
As a player, Stoneking competed at safety and on special teams for Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, earning three years of varsity experience on both defense and special teams. He was part of three conference championship teams and helped the Ravens advance to the national semifinals in his senior season.
"I appreciate Coach K for giving me this opportunity to become a full-time coach. I am excited to continue working with this staff and these players and hopefully help this program continue to have the success it's been having," said Stoneking.
Glass brings extensive experience coaching at multiple levels of college football. Most recently, he served as Assistant Quarterbacks Coach and Lead Offensive Support at Eastern Michigan University, an FBS program, where he co-coached individual drills with Offensive Coordinator Mike Piatkowski, oversaw the offensive support staff, and assisted with recruiting across Missouri, junior colleges, and the transfer portal.
In 2024, Glass was the Quarterbacks Coach at Washington University in St. Louis, where he led daily quarterback meetings, developed individual drills focused on throwing mechanics and football IQ, and helped the offense rank second in the CCIW in total offense and points per game. He also mentored Noah Kim, who led the MAC in passing in 2025 at Eastern Michigan. Prior to that, Glass served as a Tight Ends Coach and Graduate Assistant at the University of Dayton in 2021-22, contributing to film breakdown, position meetings, and recruiting coordination. He also brings professional playing experience, having competed for the Massachusetts Pirates, Montreal Alouettes, and Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Glass holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Eastern Michigan University.
"I'm excited to join the Truman State community. It's a blessing to get the opportunity to coach a great group of guys with a great coaching staff. I'm excited about the relationships that will be built within this university," said Glass.
