KIRKSVILLE- Truman State sophomore running back Madden Irving was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference/Athletic Solutions Offensive Player of the Week on Monday following his performance in the Bulldogs' 29-27 victory at Indianapolis.

Irving recorded 158 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries, averaging 6.3 yards per attempt. He also caught a 75-yard touchdown pass and finished with 233 all-purpose yards as Truman defeated UIndy for the second time in program history and the first time since 2016.

All three of Irving's touchdowns came during the second half. He scored on runs of 14 yards and one yard before turning a screen pass from Dylan Hair into a 75-yard touchdown that gave Truman a 29-20 advantage with 11:42 remaining.

After Indianapolis pulled within two points, Irving helped the Bulldogs keep the ball for the final 8:03. Truman ran 14 consecutive rushing plays on the closing possession, with Irving converting four first downs as the Bulldogs exhausted the remaining time.

The victory improved Truman to 2-3 overall and 2-0 in GLVC play. The Bulldogs scored touchdowns on their first three possessions of the second half and finished with 428 yards of offense, including 201 rushing yards.

The honor is the first GLVC Offensive Player of the Week award of Irving's career. Dylan Hair was the most recent Bulldog to receive the award on Sept. 22, 2025.
